CCJ what would be the best thing

Hi
I just wanted some advice please.
I did a £2 Credit Report yesterday, only to find out I have a CCJ from 2006 that I didn't know about, as I moved from the address it relates to 1 year before the CCJ date, and didn't get any correspondence concerning it.
It's £100 and relates to a fine from the DVLA for not SORN'ing my car, now I'm not really sure whether it's worth trying to get the court to set it aside because I did not get any warning this was happening, or should I just pay the fine and have done with it ?.
I have to say it's made me very angry to have only just found out, as I would have paid the fine if I had known.
Any thoughts would be helpful

Did you inform the DVLA of your new address?
If you did and the paperwork didn't come to your new address then you might well have a case to get it set aside (although there is a fee to do this).
If you settle it then it will go from your credit file next year anyway. I suppose its whether you want to apply for something that the CCJ will affect before its removed from your file. Eg if you were applying for a mortgage it would probably be worth the cost of trying to get it set aside because your mortgage could end up costing a lot more than the set aside fee. If you are not planning on applying for credit then you could just settle it and wait for it to go from your file.
If you didn't inform them of your address change you may struggle to get it set aside.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
Hand on heart, I couldn't say whether I did or didn't, but had I known about this I would have paid it much earlier than this.
Suppose the best thing is to just pay it, and chalk it down to experience, and put a comment on my report to the effect of I didn't know about it, and at least it would look better for me credit wise.0
