Credit report and mortgage - quick question - help please!

I am hoping to buy my first home in the next couple of months and will obviously need to get a mortgage.
I have never checked my credit file so I thought I would do this now to make sure everything is in order. (I am going to use the free 30-day trial with Experian.)
What I was wondering is, will obtaining my report in this way put any 'marks' on the credit file which could make it more difficult for me to get a mortgage?

Looking at your file will NOT put any "marks" against your credit file. You can look at it as often as you like and no prospective lenders will be able to see this.:j Got the loan and now down from £9k to £4.5k. Trying to get a better mortgage deal now but thanks to ex-husband I am being knocked back..... Still in a better place than two years ago. Have faith!:j0 -
Brilliant - thank you for this. Just wanted to check!0

Don't do just one and why mess about with the free trial things you have to cancel or get charged?
You're in no hurry, so order your statutory files from all three CRAs and you'll get them back in about a week.I am a mortgage broker.
