FTB - What happens next?

Hi all,

Sorry if this has been asked before but I have been looking on the net trying to get a basic overview but can't seem to find the advice!

So, I have had an offer accepted. My survey was done nearly two wks ago and I have the valuation report for the price i've offered and no retentions (still awaiting my homebuyers report).

Am wondering what happens next though? Should I be chasing the solicitor about the searches or willthey be doing that already? Do I have to keep chasing people or expect them to be doing it?

Solicitor won't start the ball rolling until a mortgage offer is in place. As otherwise you may start incurring unnecessary costs.

I'm sure your solicitor won't need to be told how do their job.
