Christmas dinner for 4 for a fiver (humour me, I'm bored)

In the absence of anything useful to do, I've been messing about on Sainsburys website (not that they deliver in my area, but at least you can see the items and prices without signing up as a customer).
I found a £5 note on the ground the other day, and was just off on one of my flights of fantasy about how best it might be used if someone really hard up had found it. Anyway here's my Christmas dinner (main course only) for four...
Frozen chicken, medium size (serves 2-3 but I'm sure it would stretch
) - £1.99
8 x Basics thick sausages (chilled meat section) - 49p
Paxo sage & onion stuffing mix, serves 4 - 41p
Loose potatoes (for roasters and mash) 64p per kg (2.2 lbs) x 1.5 kg = 96p
Loose carrots 69p per kg x .25 kg (2 medium-large ones) = 18p
Loose sprouts 99p per kg - just under 1lb = 40p
Sainsbury's Chicken Gravy Granules 49p
Total = £4.92
The odd 8p can be for milk & butter for the mash, and oil for the roasties.
Can anyone beat that?
Oh and if you think this is sad, you should have seen me just now out in the kitchen with the scales, weighing and counting sprouts and spuds to make sure my estimates were viable
.
Anything on telly?

i messed around on the tesco site and worked out the most value products that I could get with my £8 worth of clubcard vouchers as a joke. forgot to delete it and didn't notice the next time I ordered online. wondered why there were so many bags :rotfl: Took me months to get through all the value products including beetroot, tomatos, baked beans,tinned potatos, soap and sweetcorn that were delivered.Believe me you get an awful lot of value products for that amount and it taught me to check my order more carefully in the future.0
