Takeaway substitues

I think most people enjoy a take away once in a while and while it is easy to whip up a curry does anyone have recipes for making your own fried chicken, kebabs etc for those Friday nights on the sofa

I've discovered that the breaded chicken fillets from Iceland (100% chicken breast) make lovely chicken burgers, I'd go as far as saying they are as nice as a KFC and healthier.

Any others...........

Thank you, sounds interesting will look into it.

I did see a prog once where they visited people who lived on take away's and got them to cook their own and see which they liked best. Saw some interesting dishes on there.

I'd like some help with this too.
  • After seeing them spoke about on here i have purchased both the takeaway secret and curry secret books and can honestly say the big macs are just like the golden arches, kfc chicken is a winner as is the sausage and egg muffins. Would recommend these although havnt tried the curry one yet but if its anything like the takeaway one will be a winner in this house :) x

I would recommend The Takeaway Secret book too.
It costs quite a bit to stock up with all the spices and
herbs but the curries are fantastic.
