Maybe you could do some research online together and he'll come to learn that bigger brands are expensive for one reason only: to pay for 'brand awareness building' and advertising, swankier packaging and marketing

I use SR and Plain flour from any of the supermarket value ranges (Tesco, Sainsbury's or Asda) - depending on where I am (I do a monthly shop and trawl the 3 supermarkets for the best deals across a range of regular staples). I have never had any problems with any of them. Just wish I could get wholemeal flour at the same price!Enjoying an MSE OS life
