Hi
can any of you kind MSErs recommend any decent washing up household chores gloves.
Mine only seem to last a couple of weeks, and they are something I need to wear due to skin allergies.
I don't think I have come across a quality product yet!
Holes appear in them in a very short time. Any advice please http://images2.moneysavingexpert.com/images/forum_smilies/smile.gif

I used to buy Wilkinsons own make but when Sainsbury's had Marigolds on offer recently I bought a load from there and mine last about six to eight weeks.
In fairness, I have a dishwasher so although I still wash some things up in the evening they are not getting horrendous amounts of useage. I also keep a separate pair of gloves for household cleaning such as the bathroom and cleaning the floors which I get down on my hands and knees and do by hand.
When my gloves start to leak, I put them into my shoe polishing box and use them in there as protection for my hands against the coloured shoe wax, they are still good enough for that purpose and I am now getting my moneys worth out of them a bit more!
Wilkinsons do a heavy duty black glove, which are brilliant I have to say. I use those to clean my brass and they last aeons. They also do a really nice blue pair which are also heavy duty as well. You should, in theory, always buy a size larger than you actually need to stop the glove from moulding too much to your fingers and it also allows you to put a pair of cotton gloves inside it as well which you can soak in handcream to keep your hands well moisturised.Cat, Dogs and the Horses are our fag and beer money:beer:

Go to a place that sells industrial work wear,you'll be able to get better quality heavy duty gloves there cheaper.I use a pair of these;

My mum introduced to to M&S washing up gloves. They're way better than any others I've used. They're lovely and thick so they last well and you can use hotter water (better for germ removal) and they sort of fold back on themselves a bit at the top which helps to stop water getting in the gloves.0

Hi Tulip,
I use marigolds for washing up and in the bathroom, these seem to last better than the supermarket own brands.
When one glove has an hole in it, I save the good one and make a pair with the next one, if it turns out to be the same hand, just turn one inside out and then you have a pair.0 -

Try Boots Sensitive Skin PVC Gloves. Suitable for people with Contact Dermatitis, Latex Allergy, etc. They are also durable.0
