  • Hi as i work for currys i can tell you that they do have a price match policy which is 7 days and has to be a store or an online version of one the companies owned by DSG, which mean you cannot claim from places such as amazon, play.com etc. if you are wondering the companie in DSG are, Currys, Dixons, Curry Digital, PcWorld and The Link which has been sold to another retail
  • HI

Thanks for your help, but think you may have misunderstood, am looking for a price protection, eg when something is reduced soon after purchase some stores in a certain amount of time will allow you to claim the difference

    Can you help there??
  • Some credit cards offer price promise/protection, where you can claim the difference, eg HSBC, does your credit card offer this?

My friend bought a laptop from PC World Christmas before last. 2 days later it had gone down by £100.

We thought we would be cheeky and ask - Pc World were great and refunded us the £100 back there and then.

I'm not sure about a time limit though...I think maybe it might be price drops within 7 days but I'm not totally sure.

Can you not try to call your local store to enquire there??

  • have sent a note to there customer services as it was not a local store, fingers crossed
  • You should get your money back within the 7 - 14 day window, if they get funny tell them you will return it as you have not opened it.

I find taking in a print out from their website with the new price on is all they need to send back to head office to prove you found it cheaper.
