Region 1 DVDs - where from?

Options
Not ordered any R1 in years, and have completely forgotten the name of the Canadian firm I used to use...

Can anyone recommend sites (or US price comparison sites)? I'm after Deadwood seasons 1 and 2. (Once again we get stiffed over here - R1 sets are 6 discs instead of 4, since we get no extras at all)

Playusa.com are expensive for it. I've seen it on Amazon.com at US$52.47 and US$76.99 for the two sets, but have only ever used amazon.co.uk. Is the US site any good for international use?

(I know I'll be subject to import duty if the parcel's spotted)

  • Have a look on EBay - item number 200062232910 - may be what you're looking for. If not there were a few more similar items listed.
  • That's a Hong Kong seller (the price, the incorrect number of discs (11 rather than 12) and the Engrish listing had me suspicious, the feedback confirms they're selling copies).

I get bargain DVDs off eBay sometimes (so clearly fake but who cares when cheap? ;)), but I want to order genuine in this case from a store across the pond. Any recommendations anyone?

This is probably the Canadian site you were on about.
    Generally very good pricewise.
    Play up Pompey!
