    What sale?

It's the same old stuff at the same old prices! I've been checking them out for a few days now, watching prices on 19 & 23 " LCD tv's....

    Sale my butt.

    Portal.

Good spot, but it's only big £1k things that have a few quid off...
What about a couple of quid off a TV that's £200 or so (ie the kind of thing that kids with xmas money to spend can actually get close to affording)

Sales are a con these days - it's sale time all the time.
  • Most members here familiar with this company realise that in the past, they have online items that you can quite hapily order, until you get an email to say that what you wanted is actually out of stock...

Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Combo Breaker
Plus... as a special Boxing Day promotion they seem to have removed the free 3 year warranty on all products over £200 so in real terms many prices are actually more expensive.
  • Just to note, if you have a store local always go in and ask the best price they can do on it. Got a £90 microwave for £75 the other day.
  • Jvc GZMG21 is actually 45 more then we paid on Xmas eve at a local independant place.

This statement from the Empire Direct website: -

"These products are either ex-display, end of line, or "as new" customer returns. They are complete with all accessories and are fully guaranteed with the manufacturer's warranty. In the unlikely event of your product developing a fault, we will happily repair it or offer a refund. Please note, as many of these items are "one only" offers, there may be occasions when we receive simultaneous multiple orders – we regret that these orders will be dealt with strictly on a first come first served basis. Clearance items may only be purchased on-line using a credit or debit card"

From the same line as the C86.

Don't bother unless you like having your printer break down after 9 months, be replaced and then have the replacement break down with a similar fault only to be told your only option is to buy another replacement at a cost of £65.

If you MUST buy Epson (which, taking my experience into account, I'd advise against) you can get the D88 or similar for £49.97 from Tesco etc.
