Maybe the Debenhams of years gone by, but the ethos of the company has changed even in the last five years.0 -

Argos have some bedding in the clearance section.
Even duvet sets on BOGOF have been reduced like this one http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/1060300/Trail/C%24cip%3D41700.Furniture%2Band%2Bfurnishings%3EC%24cip%3D48300.Clearance%2Bfurniture%2Band%2Bfurnishings.htm0 -
I also noticed something not quite right at Debenhams on Christmas Eve. They'd loads reduced so I picked up a cardigan - £35 down to £17.50 and Wrangler Jeans -£45 down to £22.50. Assistant rung them through and asked for £85 instead of the £40 it should have been. He cancelled the sale and had to enter the prices manually because the jeans were coming up at "full price of £50". They were clearly on the label as £45. Ended up paying the £40 I expected to pay but was a bit dubious of what the real prices are.If I had known then what I know now . . .

ooh thanks
Debenhams site is still down so have given up!0 -
Tried Boxing Day - kept getting the Vax vacuum cleaner into my basket for £65 - price only available on that day and it deducted a further £11.50 off for some unknown reason, so with free postage - came to £53.95. However the site kept crashing each time I tried to continue thru to payment.
After the third attempt - site unavailable no matter how many times I tried. Phoned customer service first thing this am who told me that there was nothing wrong - people had been ordering all the time and they could process the order for £100 as the early bird price was no longer applicable.
Thanks but no thanks - only wanted a cheap spare for my daughter to use.0 -
Has anyone been able to get onto the Debenhams website today? Everytime I try it says that the website is unavailable at this time.0
