Mortgage - timber framed house

We're trying to sell our house - 90 years old, timber-framed with UPVC cladding. So far prospective purchasers (5 to date) have been thwarted by surveyors who decline to recommend a loan on this property. Any ideas how to go forward - we would really like to move. Frustrated kent
