Sorry if this is in the wrong place feel free to move it. I bought my daughter a watch from House of Frazer the begining of November on the 20% discount day (we actually got 15% off the watch) It cost me £149. Anyway her boyfriend ended up buying her a watch so I went on Xmas Eve to return mine as I bought her something else instead. They wouldnt give me a refund only vouchers. They said it was out of the 28 day period. When I bought it I informed them it was for a xmas present and was told I had up to the end of Jan to return. They said I should have been given a gift receipt (which I wasnt, but I did have my usual sales receipt) so without that couldnt refund me. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told the same thing. Do I have a leg to stand on here? I cant prove that I was told I could return it. I have taken the vouchers because the watch is no good to me now but am really furious over this, £149 is a lot of money to just spend in there for the sake of it. Its not a place I regularly shop at.

legally they dont even have to offer you vouchers they could just turn you away you could always sell vouchers on ebay in most cases they go for face value or near enough(no idea why)0
