Hi,
not sure if this is in the right place but just wanted to ask if anyone knows of anywhere i can get cheap school uniforms at the moment ?
I am new to the site and absolutely loving it! came here trying to find ways of spending more wisely and got totally addicted !

Primary or secondary? Generic stuff or specific to the school?
For bog standard uniform - white shirts, black school trousers, you really can't go far wrong with the big supermarkets, sad to say! Tescos used to do a pack of three shirts for a fiver - and if you keep your eyes open for deals/vouchers you can get it even better than that. I imagine there'll be a lot of promotions along at the start of the holidays. Asda is pretty good too - just check out whatever's local to you.
For specific items related to the school, a lot of schools are linked to companies with web-shops, and it's from there that you do the ordering. Hopefully the school has sorted the best deal in terms of the provider they're linked with, but other than that, there's not much you can do to barter the price of new stuff down. However, it's worth seeing if there's any system in place for parents to buy/sell on outgrown stuff, as you can pick up some great bargains second-hand. If they haven't set up anything already, it might be something you could investigate setting up - through the school itself or through the PTFA perhaps.Reason for edit? Can spell, can't type!0 -
