First direct mortgage conditions

Hi all,
I am in process of applying for first direct mortgage. Have been told they are only available to first direct customers with a 1st account so have applied to open one, not a problem in itself, but my question is does this account have to be my main/only account? They have offered me the easy switch service but its not clear whether i) the mortgage payments have to be made from a first direct 1st account and ii) whether my salary has to be paid into this account. I would prefer not to switch all my banking if possible so was wondering whether I would be able to transfer in enough to cover the mortgage and leave everything else as it is with my current bank? Hope this question makes sense, not sure I am explaining it very well. I have looked on the website and tried looking in the forums to see if this has been asked before but cant find anything.
Thanks

That was what I was wondering about, but I was also told that fees will be waived due to having a mortgage with them. Just not sure whether this is on the basis that I make that my main account or not.0
