Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!

Hi,
My son wants to buy some (overpriced imo) headphones which are half the usual price in this store, but I've never heard of them before and can't find any sort of reviews etc to see what sort of service they offer.
I tried ordering and got through to the payment screen. It all seems safe (eg. https) but just wondered if anyone had experience of the company and whether they sold real items etc before I went through with the transaction.

TIA MrsB.

ETA: in case you are searching for this company and only read this post; the site is on Monster's blacklist for selling counterfeit headphones. I decided not to buy from them.

Can't comment on that store, but beware fake products on some products e.g. Monster and Sennheiser, and the old adage that if it looks too good to be true, it probably is. Also bear in mind that many brands such as Monster will refuse to honour warranties unless you buy from one of their authorised dealers.

That said cheap deals on old lines do occur, so 50% off isn't entirely beyond possibility, especially as headphones and earphones are very profitable and have massive mark-up to begin with.

A couple of reliable stores are these:
Otherwise the deals at the usual suspects: Amazon, Play, Best Buy et al are sometimes excellent.

If you're looking for Monster's 'Beats' headphones, all I can say is they have a poor reputation with those interested in 'proper' hi-fi sound. Suggest browsing for advice on alternatives at http://www.head-fi.org

Thanks for your help. It was monster beats that he wanted, but as I was replying to your post I found this:http://www.monstercable.com/counterfeit/dealers_blk.asp

I just looked at Monster's website and https://www.headphones-specialist.co.uk are on their blacklist for selling fakes.
I was going to ask a board guide to delete this thread, but I reckon it should probably remain here in case someone else searches for the site.

I purchase a set of Beats Solo from this website and after comparing them with my friends pair which were purchased at HMV I have to say they are 100% exactly the same, so ye definitely genuine. However they did take the slight !!!! with delivery

Nobody should be encouraged to buy from this store:
    1. Monster say headphones-specialist are selling fakes, that's serious libel if untrue and a reputable seller would surely take action against Monster.
    2. One person comparing is no proof of anything, some people aren't able to tell apart hi-fi products for a variety of reasons (hearing/observation skills, inadequate source material etc.) and fakes aren't always terrible quality.
    3. With all due respect jamie86, while you're probably just an ordinary forum member trying to helpful, you just signed up in response to this and we can't be sure that you're not a shill for a disreputable seller.
This is all moot anyway, there are much better alternatives for this kind of money.
  • After doing further research it seems that the Monster website is blacklisting any company selling Beats headphones below the recommended retail price, theres no way they can purchase and test all them headphones. They have also blacklisted Buy.com which is a big company and has many high street store in the USA.

how long did they actually take to arrive?
  • It took around 10 days for my order to arrive, I also purchased the Beats Studio but they refunded my saying they were sold out. I can't complain too much as it was a great bargain
  • Has anyone got a contact number for this company. I messed an order up and need info on it?

    Cheers
  • nah no number, but i messaged through their contact page and they replied within a couple of hours and accepted my return no problem.
  • VERY sceptical at the new people signing up to say how great this website is, will NOT be using.
