A Plasma 42" TV

Options
Hi

I am looking for a 42" plasma TV with a black surround. I have seen some 32" in the grabbit board. Has anyone come across a good deal during these sales that I may have a look into.

  • Do you have a Tesco's Extra near you. Our local branch has some right belters, sorry not sure of the price I was not allowed to linger for to long...
  • 42 inch plasma
From Hitachi ( very good IMHO - I have 2 Hitachi plasmas )
    It is HD ready
( OK no tuner attached - but £30 sorts that out - or if you have Sky you are home and dry )
    All for less than £800
From a company that has a strong backup when things go tits up.

Ok - try to beat it :-)

Have a search around for the Panasonic TH42PX60
This plasma is a 42 inch, is the pick of at least 4 specialist magazines, and is a fabulous TV. (when launched in March this year the screen retailed at almost 3k)

I picked one up a couple of weeks ago from Richer sounds for 999.95, however this TV has been dropped in price in a few sales (new model out later this month so doscontinued model) so you can get it now for 899.99 (which Richer gladly price matched for me from play.com's sale).

But seriously for 900 pounds you will not get a better quality plasma screen. In addition that includes Panasonic's own 5 year guarantee....
    Play up Pompey!
  • Thanks everyone for your insight ... I have been looking into the panasonic PX60 and can anyone tell me the difference between TH42PX60B and TH42PX600. The answer will probably be very simple but at the moment I cant just figure it out

You don't get "picture in picture" with the PX60B but you do on the PX600
  • Thanks for the quick reply - if i were to ask for a price match with another store, how do I go about it? Do i need a written quote ???
