Going onto my partners mortgage

My partner and I are getting married in a couple of weeks time. Once where married she wishes to add me onto her existing mortgage. The worry I have is that I believe they will carry out a credit check on me, the problem is my credit rating is really poor. Is this right, will they conduct a credit check ?
Thanks in advance for any infromation ..

Yes the lender will conduct their normal status checks - and adverse credit will affect your application.

Of course they will, if you want to be made jointly liable for the mortgage then the lender is going to want to know about your financial history. Presumably your fiance is aware of your credit history?0

Hi guys, thanks.. Yes she's fully aware of my situation. Like any good woman, I'll leave her to sort my stuff out
