Mortgage Credit checks

Dear anyone

In a terrible mess. Rented house from employer. They have served notice to move by 30the september 11. I have been trying to get a mortgage for 12 months. I have not missed a mortgage/loan payment for over 2 years. However, I and my husband had a default over 2 years ago. We had these due to a very bad move and didnt realise the standing orders had ended. I still have an AP from over 2 years ago and I cannot get a mortgage for love or money. Our incomes are reasonable and have two children. We have a house we currently have rented in a totally different area. We have struggled to get back on our feet, by paying off the defaults, and the AP will be finished in 12 mnths. We cannot get the mortgage, not because of whats on our file, but because our cottage has 3 different addresses. They say we are on the electoral register, yet was missing from Equifax, The council say we are not on their database and yet we have voting papers. We pay council tax, but the names & registrations of properties dept, do not have us listed. I just cannot understand this. The mortgage company have had our application for 5 days but cannot credit search on their database as it is not on their list of addresses. I have provided both equifax & experien reports but still want to credit score me but cannot understand which address is correct. Obviously, I cannot give the address. It appears the cottage was originally one house, split into two and somewhere from 1885 - now, something has gone wrong with the address. I have made an appointment with my MP as this is ridiculous, as well as the office of fair trading who deal with credit files. I am about to go to the citizens advice, other than this, I am totally in the xxxx! Does anyone, have any other advice? My landlord (previous employer) doesnt want to know, and the councils just wont talk to each other? Any other ideas anyone, I am desperate now, as I know I cant rent privately or from the council now. Thanksxxx
