Tescos

Options
It was very strange in our Tescos this afternoon. We arrived at 2.15pm. We spoke to one of the managers we knew and he said they sold their last fresh turkey at 9.30 this morning.

The store seemed to be reducing thousands of fresh mince pies, doughnuts, croissants, apples, cauliflowers, potatoes but no bread at all. We kept waiting and waiting but nothing yet the shelves were piled high with rolls. Even in mid summer when people have barbecues I have never seen them produce so much bread. Ended up having to pay full price five minutes before closing time. Everyone was wondering what on earth was going to happen to all those shelves full of bread which was dated today. Someone said they were going to give in to the staff and throw the rest away.

I will remember this for next year but every year seems to be different.

I always keep a couple of loaves in freezer and 4 pints of milk then if nothing is reduced I whip them out overnight to defrost. if I get reduced stuff I keep them frozen for later on!
