Halifax - missing payees?

Half the accounts I send payments to, from my Halifax current account are missing, the list is half the size it was previously.

Glitch or something else?

Hi ya!! I've just come here looking for info about the same thing. It seems that all my payment info for companies as opposed to individuals has disappeared eg British Gas, Npower etc

V strange and v irritating!

I'm the opposite, I have companies left but private individual accounts have gone.

Some that I've not used for some time have gone.

One of mine that has gone is the main one I use to transfer money back and forward for the £5 reward every month. They get £6K every month from this account so they couldn't have used 'unused for some time' as the sole criteria for removing the details.

I'll be a tad piddled off if they have done this deliberately with no consultation.

I suspect the IT guys have had a few beers and pressed the wrong button.

Probably be sorted by the morning.

Mines gone [ private] but Egg Money is still there. Mine was to my Nat west account and it was the 1st time i had used it in 2 years. I could understand it if they had deleted it before this week, coz, as i said i hadn't used it for a 2 years.

I'm hoping the same thing - really don't want to have to reset all my payments up again!!

Confirmed as an issue that was flagged up yesterday. They are working on the problem and hope a resolution will be forthcoming soon. They can reinstate manually so if you need a particular payee they can do it there and then if you phone them.

Be warned, it takes ages to get through the menus ('we are experiencing high call volumes' etc etc) and they once they've got you on the phone they try to flog you other products. Aaaarrgghhh! I tried to get an number from saynoto0870 but there's a problem with that site too and so I gave in and called the 08457 number so I was paying for her sales spiel. It annoys me

Why does the phrase 'lose lose' always spring to mind when dealing with banks?!! Thanks for sharing that info though. I might try visiting a branch while I'm out.
