Good evening all ... Newbie with a question about loan contracts here

:hello:

Baaaaasically... I took out a loan five and a half years ago with Natwest, it was a business loan originally which( unless anyone asks i wont go into the full story) was then split into a personal and business loan but with only one payment taken out of my business account, sounding strange eh? well it is ! the problem im having at the moment is that i would like to see about claiming back the ppi i paid on it but the bank cannot find any information about the loan being split up and the extra money i borrowed on it after a few months? they sent me the original loan contract but it had about 5 sections missing out of it, no start date, the figure didnt include the extra loan and there is absolutely no mention on ppi on it? I have been trying to reslolve this for over a year now but had no joy! I keep getting passed between the business manager and the complaints department. The business manager says that what she has sent me is all she can find?

This to me all sounds very dodgy! i was only 23/24 when i took the loan out and i originally went in for 15 grand and walked out with 23 ish, i know that i had a very poor credit rating but the business manager at the time pushed it through some how? a few months after getting the loan i applied for a credit card with natwest and they laughed me out of the bank due to my credit rating, how the jock did they allow the loan? :-S

As you can probably tell i wasnt very good with money back then but i am now just about sorted , no missed payments for about two years and the loan is nearly cleared off.

Anyone got any advice for me please? :)

If they can't find the original paperwork they should be able to access old statements which would clearly show what went in and out of your accounts and prove one way or another whether you took out PPI.

Thanks for the reply, so do you think they are just trying to play silly beggers? when i first asked for a copy of my proper loan contract it had nothing to do with ppi as i just wanted to get all my accounts together but now it has dragged on i feel like getting some money back!

How old do you think you should be before you are allowed to make adult decisions?
