Recommendations for flower sellers that will send internationally?

I want to send flowers to a friend in the USA.

Can anyone recommend a company that does this that is not too expensive but has good service. I am looking to spend maximum of £40.

I've had some lousy experience of sending flowers to USA and Canada (particularly Interflora). My advice would be to find a florist in the town where you wish them delivered and order from them (either online) or by phone. I've had no issues when doing this aagainst flowers not delivered, miniscule bunches for extertionate amounts etc when I've ordered through a bigger company.
I've also found the local florists to be cheaper and much more flexible. They are happy to take credit card details over the phone if they don't have a website.

If you post on the Trip Advisor website (link to their forums section) under the state and town you want the delivery in and ask for recommendations of local florists I'm sure you will get a good response. (make sure you use the tripadvisor.com us website as opposed to the uk one which has been launched)
