I have heard that in some cases the sim which has the free credit, is sometimes glued into the phone and it cannot be taken out. Is this true with this deal as i was hoping to use the sim in another phone and sell it. Also does anyone have any information on 3's tarrif prices? how much texts are and maybe costs to other networks or to landlines? Surely the £30 shoud last long...thanks in advance!

I got one a week ago and yes the sim was glued into the phone!!
ACII and Chartered so now I can focus on learning to play my beautiful Sax. 🎷

  • Got the last one from Holloway Argos today. We've got in laws visiting from the USA in January, so plan on giving them the phone to use and trading it in for Argos vouchers when they go home. Bargain!
  • Thats exactly what I am doing Chartreuse.

My GF is visiting form Overseas. I had an old PAYG virgin phone , but this deal works out better as it "appears" cheaper calls , and she gets a nice new phone as well.
  • best thing to do if you want to know if it has a fixed sim is look at it before you buy it because i cant remember if this does or not (something in my mind says it does but it doesnt say it on the website so i could be thinking of another phone)

also, we've had loads in if anyone lives round here - theres strood, chatham, both maidstone stores, hempstead valley, dartford and both thurrock stores all in stock. (these are all southeast stores by the way!)
  • These are in stock at southend as well if anyone is interested.

i got one from a superdrug store, the card was glued in but i managed to take it out. Just need a stanley knife and a bit of patience. Scraping the bit off the base of th esim is eacy, you have to be careful with the top end (the bit with the corner cut off) :D

You won't be able to send it to envirofone though, i got in touch with them, they won't accept the phone because the sim was once glued in. But i have not sent it in to see if they will since the sim no longer exists.

  • Sim was glued into my Argos one too. Bit of a shame about the envirofone thing, but a quick check on ebay suggests that selling it on for the same amount shouldn't be too tricky.
