Buy the latest copy of "What color is your parachute", and read it cover to cover at least twice; then apply what you've read.

... Or you could helpfully post the advice from this dime-store novel that people have never heard of?

It has sold many millions of copies. Probably most professional careers advisers have heard of it and a good many will have read it.

No need to buy the latest copy, though. It can be found in public libraries and the information doesn't change much from year to year, though it will be updated and no doubt now includes a section on using social networking sites which wasn't in the copies I used for training courses in the early 2000s.

I sincerely hope that the section on social networking sites says something along the lines of "never say anything your wouldn't tell your boss to his face, and preferably, avoid at all costs if you value your continued employment"!

It isn't a novel, and if you just had one penny for every copy sold, you could buy a house.

If you've got nothing constructive to post, don't do it here.

I'm with Martin001, seems a constructive point to me.

Theres nothing constructive in a post about some fairy tale book. A brief synopsis might make people interested....

Is a very well respected book in the career guidance world. Can we stop bashing the people trying to be helpful?

I have no intention of MAKING people interested; if they are happy living off the community, the job can go to someone who deserves it.

One quick search on google will show you this is the bible of job hunting, and praised by recruitment experts the world over.
People that can't be bothered to check that out, deserve to lose the job opportunity; they are exactly the kind of people employers weed out in the first round.
