hi
i've been asked to buy a starter kit for my friends sons birthday present. They are out of stock on moshi monsters website, i've looked on amazon and they are selling for £12.99 (with £4.99 printed on the front of the packet:eek:)
does anyone know if they are sold in store anywhere? i've looked in my local co op this morning and they only sell the packets of cards not the binder (she said they've never done binders).
would be greatful for any info, save me wandering all around town if they've never been sold in shops:o
TIA

I can't see a £12.99 price on Amazon for this product. I get £9.96 including delivery.

You have to remember though, that if you buy on online, an element of the final price will be for p&p.
Lambs Toys have it for £4.99 but once delivery costs are added you'll have to pay £8.94. Or more if you choose other delivery options.

I don't know where you live so it's difficult to suggest anywhere locally but Toys R Us, Argos and Wilkinson's websites aren't showing any stock. However you may have a local branch of Toymaster so it might be worth ringing them.

I got a moshi binder (with a starter pack of cards) in Tesco for £4.99.
You can also buy a Top Trumps moshi monster for £3.97 also got in Tescos.
I've joined the realms of buying these under pressure from DD3 (7) who I am sure only desires them because of peer pressure as I can't for the life of me see the attraction.
DD3 school has "banned" the cards because as always there are always a few who will inveigle younger ones out of their collection and they go home with empty binders.
Moshi Monster trading cards have caused trouble in our own street between children bullying for swaps.
I will be very glad when this craze has passed. It costs £4.95 for monthly online membership which is craftily on recurring payment (so if you're not on the ball and cancel it £4.95 will line the monsters' pockets every month.
Im sorry for mini-rant - just DD3 was in tears earlier this week when an older girl down the road had tricked her into giving up her "shineys" on the promise of a moshi monster soft toy - which of course never happened.
Back to topic though - the collectors album is the same as match attack, toy story and all the ones before it. Its just the interchangeable first page that is "Moshi" and its only an index sheet.Love, through the trees, past the sky, beyond the northern lights; and I won't let go. May your soul and spirt fly sweetheart x

thanks will have a look in tesco tomorrow, we've also got an entertainer in town so will have a look there if no luck in tesco.
toatlly agree with the ggrr at the fad thing, i just *know* that my daughter will be wanting to start collecting:mad: i'm going to try and persuade her by saying that they are for 4 year olds and shes way to old being nearly 8:D0 -
My daughter is into the whole Moshi thing too at the minute. We paid £4.99 for the binder from our local newsagent/One Stop shop, I had to ask for it though as it wasn't on display but behind the till. I've seen them in another local independent newsagent too so I'd try and pop in to a newsagents and ask them, especially if they sell the cards.:smileyhea Proud Mummy of 2 :smileyheaTotally addicted to Boots glitches & the Next sales!0

For those worried about the recurring payment, just do what I did, pay using paypal then straight away cancel the recurring payment by doing this:
Log in to your PayPal account.
Click Profile at the top of the page.
Click My Money then click Update beside My preapproved payments to find your payment.
Select the payment, and then click Cancel.
When my son notices him membership has expired I will then decide if I want to renew or not BEFORE money is taken
