Moben administrator's press release

Finally some information about the future of the homeform group was released yesterday. It seems sharps will continue but the other three companies will be wound down unless they find a buyer. In yesterdays press release the administrators advice was :
People who have had goods delivered but whose fitting has not been completed will be contacted in the next five to 10 days to arrange to have their fitting completed
Moben, Dolphin and Kitchens Direct customers who have paid a deposit but have not received a delivery should contact their card provider, finance provider or the customer helpline on 0800 840 0118
We are part way though our installation (there are a few finishing touches like magic corner and plinths to be installed). However, we have not received delivery of two cupboard doors. So where does this leave us? We are almost in the middle of those two scenarios, and I know we're not the only customers in this situation, and with the same doors (sumatra walnut cooker unit doors).
I've rung the helpline, which is for deposit customers only, and so they can only suggest we wait to see if we are contacted by the administrators. In the meantime, does anyone know where we stand legally? I paid by visa debit so have the chargeback option, but if they can't deliver the doors will we be able to claim that back? Also we paid for a skip to get rid of the rubbish (£150), will we be able to claim that back?
This is so frustrating, and I know that moben have had a bad reputation, but apart from this and the sheishter sales rep the whole process has been great and the kitchen itself looks fab.

I dont see how you can comment on how my kitchen looks without having been in it. Yes there are doors missing and the plinths need fitting but those of us who clearly have a more positive and less cynical mindset than you can see past the little deficiencies to the overall product. The plinths will be in place and hopefully the doors too, but overall i am pleased with the functionality of the kitchen and can see that at the end when it is all sorted it will look great. At the moment it only looks fab from three inches off the floor and when you're stood in front of the cooker, so admittedly I could have made myself a bit clearer in my original post
What I would have liked from this forum is advice not criticism on something that the members know nothing about.0 -

Good luck with your problem OP - they will still have the stock of your doors to dispose of so hopefully you can track it down at some stage.
If you don't have anything soon I would try and argue with your Credit Card company that 8 out of 10 doors is as good as no doors at all and fight to get a lump sum back to replace them all. (Whether you do or not is a different matter.)0 -
I have researched the kitchen and components on the web, and I think the doors may have come from a company based in Ireland, with a depot in the UK. They utilise several kitchen distribotors and web based distributors.
As a new user I cannot post the links on the forum .... for fear of spam etc etc ..... but the company is BA, look up byba (.co.uk) and the doors are called Zurfiz and Bella.
I have emailed one distributor called Lark&Larks (.co.uk) who were very helpful.
The administrators, by the way, are Deloitte.0 -
how did you get on with that OP? did you sort the doors out?
I use to work for moben, the yanks who owed us Sun, stripped us from the moment they took over.
we recieved not 1 penny from the company ( national insurance fund paid our redundancy an a % of missing wages ) Deloitte werent/arent very helpful either.
Anyhow. Hope you got your doors! ?0
