One For All Remote - Won't "Learn"

Hi, thanks for looking.
I have a Kameleon URC-8060 One for All remote.
I have purchased some new equipment, a Samsung projector and a Sony Blu-ray.
The existing codes won't work for these mdels, no problem I thought.
All I really need is a few controls like play, pause right, left etc.
Both remotes will not "Learn" to the Kameleon for some reason. I get one flash instead of two whatever I try (been through lots of tips and tricks on the interent for learning remotes".
So... do newer remotes not work with these one for alls anymore, have the manufacturers come up with some new IR to stop them doing this?
Any way I can get around this.
One for All website no good.
Thank you in advance for your reply.
