I wanted to thank everyone on here who made it possible for me to return to work again. :)

I was becoming despondent, wondering if I'd ever work again, despite feeling a bit better, and capable of part time work at least, but couldn't think who the hell would employ me. Given my problems with the M.E, Crohns, with travelling alone (blackouts)etc, I wouldn't employ me. lol

Then, I stumbled on this forum last year (have been an MSE member for a while, but didn't notice this forum before :o)

Thanks to you guys I'm now in employment, granted 30 hours a week, but it's as much as I can manage.

I work from home, I'm fully employed (couldn't handle the added stress of SE), and my employer knows/appreciates my health situation, and I can book my hours to suit it. :)

I honestly can't thank you all enough, you've helped to give me my life back.

:j

You've given me hope Lou76! I have M.E. and gut problems (not Crohn's), and I'm not at a level where I could work regularly even part time but I'm slowly improving and the fact that you've found a part-time work from home job gives me hope for the future.

I currently do surveys and am just dipping my toe into the world of focus groups, just to try and get my brain working again and to see if I can cope as much as for the money. It's great that we can share info about our efforts.

Flipflop, I'm glad I've given you hope - it's all we have some days. :) Hold on to that hope, and hopefully, you'll feel ready to work again, someday. Until then, don't eat yourself up with worry that other people think you look fab, despite the fact the only reason they see you is because it's a good day etc.

I ate myself up worrying about what others think, convinced they'd think I was acting it (because they only saw me on good days), labelling me a benefit scrounger (despite the fact I was racking up debt just to keep a roof over my head, was earning a good wage before I took ill etc).

M.E has taken over my life. :( I'll never be free of it. At one point I was bedbound, that lasted 3 years, so I know only too well how lucky I am right now.

But determination to defeat it is what's got me through, and I'm sure it will for you.

All the best, but please never feel obliged to push yourself. :)

    Lou xx
