I've always disliked Murdoch's empire (intensely) and nothing over the last few days surprises me. I don't have Sky, I don't buy the Times anymore and I don't buy the Sun.

I find it astonishing that the government line is that the outright purchase of Sky is about plurality not about the appropriateness of NewsCorp as an owner.
They have got it horrendously wrong on this one.
Labour's record is even worse. These nefarious doings happened under a Labour government, which singularly failed to investigate them properly.

Hide Murdoch papers in the shop. Put the FT on top of The Sun.
Don't buy his product. Send lots of emails to customer services. Cost the beggers money. Email advertisers to say you'll boycott them if they advertise in NoW etc.0 -

Plenty of petitions/Facebook campaigns etc around. I just wish that I was reading the NOTW and the Sun, so that I could now boycott them! It's not just the Milly Dowler thing, it's the hacking of the celebrities and politicians, it's the hacking of all the others, soldiers' families, the 7/7 victims, everyone. It's the payment to the police which I saw Rebekah Brooks discussing at some hearing or other. A sad day for freedom in this Country, and I would like News International to be brought down, and in particular Murdoch. I'm relieved to hear that the mobile phone companies have stopped the business of 'obvious' pin numbers which means that hacking is now more difficult to do. It seems it was staggeringly simple to do.0
