Which CSCS card is it you are applying for?
If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.

That's the form title - which card?

Have you ever worked on a construction site?

You need an employer to sign the form as you are proving you are safe and experienced on site.

Some agencies will sign the form if you already have the pass certificate, also some councils will do it as part of their employability regeneration etc.

If you have no experience and no relevant qualifications you will need to go the NVQ route. There are various options available, you need to look at your trade / skills / requirements and choose accordingly:

If you have no experience, no relevant qualification and are not registered for an NVQ, the Visitors Card would be an option. Although it probably wouldn't help you find work as an Operative.

To give you more accurate advice we really need to know a bit more about your circumstances and what you want a CSCS card for.

cant get the card without experience, can't get experience without first having a cscs card though, can you? Catch 22??
  • If you do not have on the job experience you can get a CSCS card if you do the health and safety course. Paying to work. Rediculous...
  • Contact the development sectionof your local council. Ours acts as the employer (has permission from CSkills) for the purposes of getting the cards for people who have passed the health & safety test. Depends on where you are in the country though, they are all different.
