Boxing day we usually have cold meat and salad, have a relative coming around that apparently never eats cold food, as I have never ever reheated meat the next day, what is the best way to do this and keep it edible, thanks in advance

Best to reheat it in gravy or it'll be dry as I don't know what. In the microwave or in a pan, according to your choice. Make sure that the meat has reached boiling/sizzling point, and not just the gravy.0

The only safe way to reheat turkey is to slice the cooked, chilled meat and reheat. The best way to do this is to lay the slices in an oven proof dish, cover with gravy, cover the whole dish with a lid or foil and place in a hot oven. Make sure the turkey is piping hot before serving. Alternatively, reheat in a microwave, using manufacturer’s instructions.
OR. A curry sauce, hob or oven cook, follow the instructions!
Try to use leftovers within 48 hours
Do not reheat more than once.
Lets be careful out there folks... :cool:0 -

I agree with Carrie. Sliced turkey in an oven proof dish, cover with leftover gravy (you could even just use water), cover with foil, into the oven until piping hot - must be piping hot.0 -
Hi thanks all, will probably reheat in gravy in oven this sounds good, lets hope I do it right and don't have a relative in hospital.0

You can reheat any meat once, but not more than once.
Cut it in chunks, stick it in a curry, do a chinese with it, heat it in gravy (quicker in slices, definitely), or casserole it with veg. This is how a big turkey feeds us for 5 days without getting monotonous LOL.
Reheating meat is really no big deal, but you must make sure that the meat is hot in the middle, and not just the gravy. Get the gravy to boiling point and keep it there for a little while, or if you're concerned just do it like a stew or a casserole and cook it till the veg are done. You can't cook it for too long and spoil it, it doesn't get any tougher, if you see what I mean!0
