Hate telesales calls?, you can opt out in the UK

Not everyone knows this so I thought I'd post it. It is possible (easy actually) to opt out of receiving telesales phone calls in the UK.

Just go to
http://www.tpsonline.org.uk/tps/
and at the bottom of the page click register.

If you've signed up to any online survey type sites you probably get bombarded with telesales calls - this will stop them all.

It takes about a month to kick in, but all telesales companies have to obey the list.

Just thought I'd add to this for anyone who doesn't know. If you sign up for TPS through BT, you can also get free caller display service (providing you have a phone/unit that displays info).

Unfortunately this will not stop the overseas calls, although it will reduce the amount of unwanted calls you get. I still get 1 or 2 a month from overseas numbers.

Definately worth doing though
