I'm sure there was a thread on Shorters Club not that long ago, and the general conclusion was; not that cheap really.

As to the Daily Mail article. Sample quote;

Branston Baked Beans in Tomato Sauce 410g (Pack of 24)

PRICE: £7.68.

WAS IT WORTH IT: Yes. The same beans sell in Sainsburys for 64 pence a tin...

No, they sell in Sainsbury's for 52p a tin, and what's more are currently on offer at 99p for a 4 tin pack. Indeed Branston Baked Beans are regularly on offer at one supermarket or another.

My overall conclusion is that I wouldn't put Amanda Price in charge of my household budget.

I guess it was worth it at the time the article was published. As the beans were not on offer at the time they looked.
