Year 6 Leavers Gift/Favours

Hello,
My mum works as a caterer for a primary school and had asked me to make a small favour/gift for the year 6 leavers.
There will be 36 leaving, a mix of boys and girls, these gifts need to be quick and cheap to make.
I only have one idea which is to tie a pencil and pen together with some ribbon, maybe school colours and attach a little note/poem.
Do you have any other ideas please?

hello, just bumping to see if anyone has any ideas for poems please?
We have tied all the pens and pencils together with ribbon matching the school colours and have attched to a small pack of haribo sweets. These gifts are just a small token from the school cook and thought a little poem would just add to it.
Many thanks in advance0 -

i think on these sites there are both teacher to child and child to teacher poems, you could always adapt one to suit:xmastree:Is loving life right now,yes I am a soppy fool who believes in the simple things in life :xmastree:0

thank you very much for point me in the right direction
I have choosen this one for my daughter to give to her new teacher when she starts in september, the new ones always start a few days later than the rest of the school so this is perfect.
I'm finally going to school this year,
and now the big day's almost here.
I'll learn to write and count and read--
Only two more days till school.
I got new pants and shirts and socks,
a brand-new red and blue lunch box;
I'll paint and sing and dance and play--
Only one more day fill school.
My hair is washed, my sneakers squeak,
I'm so excited, I can hardly speak!
New things to do, new friends to meet--
Hooray! It's the first day of school!0 -
