JSA and training benefits

Hi,

I am on JSA at the mo. No other benefits.

I was thinking of starting a advanced diploma course which will cost money.

Now there are two courses ranging from £600 to £4000

I wanted to ask if I wanted to do these course (nationally recognised) would I be able to get any help with paying for them. Especially seeing that completing the course would drastically improve my chances of finding work?

Sorry the jobcentre do not have the budget for this. The only time they may assist with training is if it will quickly move you into employment. i.e. forklift licence expired. It will take a while to get you into employment so still costs the government.

30, have a masters degree, want to study an advanced diploma in health sector, will last between 6 to 10 weeks, one company can gaurantee interviews but not jobs. but the qualification itself can enable to practice as self employed
