Hi all,
Sorry if this has been posted - I have searched and couldn't see anything...
Virgin Active have recently started offering joint memberships at my branch (Leeds).
I'm not sure if this is nationwide, but if it is it could save you money.
My husband and I currently pay £54p.m. each for membership on a rolling one-month basis.
With the new joint membership the second member pays just £35 - saving us £19p.m!
I asked Virgin if we could change today and got a very helpful reply in the positive...see below.
Hi Daniella
Thank you for your recent enquiry.
You can indeed change onto the Joint membership. The basics around the membership are as follows:

Hi Daniella
Thank you for your recent enquiry.
You can indeed change onto the Joint membership. The basics around the membership are as follows:
- There must be a live head adult member on a full membership. So one of you would become the lead member and stay on the full package you are currently on.
- The second member can then be transferred onto the Joint membership at £35 per month.
- The 2 adults must live at the same address, which I presume you do so.
- The head member must pay for both memberships from the same DD.
- The contract is month by month which is the same as what you are currently on.
If you have any other questions please don't hesitate to contact us.
Kind Regards
