I have been made redundant and need some help with holday pay.
I am told I have to take my holidays within in my notice period.
I work only 2 days per week.
My officail leaving date is 9th Sept but as I have 6 days holiday i will be leaving on 19th August (3 weeks x 2 days early)
Could anyone tell me what my final salary should be in terms of weeks (or days) Im very confused.
ie all of august and 1 week in September
2 weeks work and 3 weeks holiday or something else.

Your salary will be your normal salary until the 9th September as you are simply on holiday from the 19th August and will be receiving your holiday pay.0

Your final salary depends on when your pay dates are, so no-one can tell you without knowing that.
Strictly speaking, your last day is still 9 September, so it's highly likely that your pay days will stay as normal, which means you'll be paid on the first pay day after 9 Sep for the days worked between that day and the previous pay date.
It's also possible that you *might* receive pay for the days taken as holiday (ie, your 6 days) ahead of time in the pay date before that. However, I'd be surprised if this were the case as your last day is officially September; it's much more likely that nothing will change.
If you can tell me your pay dates over Aug, Sep, Oct I can give you an idea of the likely option, but it depends how your company process it.

In which case - assuming your salary is spread evenly over 12 months - I would assume that your August salary will be as per usual. Your final salary will probably be paid on the last Friday in September, and will only cover two weeks' worth of work.
It's *possible* they'll pay you the 4 days as extra on the August pay day, or even on your last day, 9 Sep. But I doubt it.
Check with your payroll team / person as to whether they keep to normal pay days when someone leaves, or whether they run a one-off for one person. If it's a small company they might, but it's too difficult for large companies, so they tend to stick to the standard payroll dates.

Many thanks, that sounds sensible,
So a full months salary and 2 weeks pay ie 4 days.
It is a small company but the C. secretary made a mistake when he was calculating my holidays.
He was calculating me on two days per month from Jan till the end of August, but 4 of the months I worked 3 days (Jan to May)
then 2 days a month from June to August end. Hence his original calculation was 2 days less than i was entitled to. But I sorted him out.
So he's not infallible. I just needed to be armed with some facts if it doesnt look right when I leave. #
Thanks for your time, it's appreciated.

The fact that you're on holiday is irrelevant to your pay - because it's paid holiday. You are officially employed until 09 September, so your salary and pay will run, as normal, just as if you were on leave and going back after that. The only difference, of course, is that you're not going back, so they will only pay you until that date.

Good luck with whatever you do next!

Retire..............................
Ive worked 45 of the last 47 years, redundant after 25 with this company so I think Ive earned the right to smile smugly when my OH says 'its snowing heavans high outside ' and I will just chuck the duvet over my head, snug and warm:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Very smug indeed!!

Obviously your final package should include a large lump sum, then, too.

Statutory minimum Im afraid, i worked 3 days for the last year or so, offered to drop another day in May to save the company money, with the proviso that my redundancy package was calculated on 3 days and not two, they accepted this so i get 30 x 3 days. Im glad I got in with being a bit canny, otherwise I would have got 30 x 2 days, phew. Not a great deal, but when I only get 60% state pension every penny counts. Then again, we have some savings so Im seriously thinking of blowing the whole lot on a cruise.
Or give it to the kids, which would you choose:Dmake the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
