I have a lot of creditors and the debts ranging from 10k to egg to £400 credit solutions. Im in a dmp and yes you guessed it credit solutions are being the worst of the lot
I get constant phone calls from them and i just say im with payplan. but now its stupid, they ring me, and i answer to hear "this is a message for ................. to contact credit solutions on .........." or this is the best one "there are no representatives to speak to you know but please ring us on .........................."
however today i had a phone call and the number came on my mobile as 0018136042484 and they left a message saying to ring them on an 0800 number
isnt 0018 america??
ive told payplan about these but nothing seems to be changing, anyone any ideas
and merry xmas to you all

Hi,
Was it 0018 or 0800 - as 0800 numbers are free calls - so no problem to ring them (if you want)
Ive had the same as you from some of my creditors. I owe a lot of debt that I pay via a DIY DMP.
The companies I own 'thousands' to (26K, 12K etc etc) I never hear from, but the small ones - £300, £200 are ringing me all the time!!!
I think its a case of the large debts now there is just no way to get anymore and theres not a lot of point chasing me, but the little chaps feel its worth it.
I just explain to them that although there debt is quite small, because of my DMP i have been advised by my solicitor to treat all creditors the same hence I cannot favour them over the rest - so they take what I offer or jump.
But they still keep trying to more - its just part of the course of being in debt im afraid.
Best to everyone

thanks for the reply, its kinda strange the small ones are worst
the number was 00181360424840 -
I wouldnt ring any 0018 number - but just to clarify, the call came from that number but were they asking you to ring a 0018 or 0800 number
Remember, so many companies use overseas call centres now, that this would not be unusual etc.
All the best

A number from overseas would only come up as "international".
I checked the 0018 number on my dialling code finder and it came up with nothing.
The code to the USA is 0010
