Equifax credit file

Forgive me if this is not the right place for this, but I am getting increasingly angry with Equifax. I have been trying to tidy up my credit files and applied to all three CRAs in April. I have managed to tidy up my callcredit one (there were numerous errors) and I have asked Experian to do the same, but not yet heard from them to confirm this.

However Equifax have not sent me my report. I sent the forms with cheque on 21 April, the cheque cleared on 31 May. I sent a letter of complaint asking them to send me my file on 6 June and now it is 6 July - still nothing! I also copied the letter to their customer relations team - if their complaints team won't even reply what can I do?! (They say they will reply within 5 days).

I am so angry about this, mainly that they take the money and then don't even bother to send information to which I am legally entitled to.

Any advice on where to go with this is much appreciated.

I found a few numbers on the "say no to 0870" site, so try
    0800 0665825
    or
    0800 7839421

So at least you are on a free phone number, that way you can insist you stay on the phone until they sort you out.
The first one is supposed to be the customer service/cancellations dept.

As they have online access it may be worth seeing if now they have your cash they could do an instant email with access to your file today so you don't have to wait any longer.

If you have a capital one credit card you can register via the cap one site for free credit reports and updates?

Well, after waiting almost three months my Equifax report arrived this morning. I have to say compared to Experian and Callcredit (who were the first to provide and also resolve inaccuracies) their service is appalling. Hence why I am asking for more advice:

There are a few 'trace' searches on my report (all statute barred) - but it doesn't say how log these are kept for? On my Experian report there were some 'unrecorded enquiries' from Lowell and it says these will fall off after a year. Are 'trace' searches with Equifax the same?

As with callcredit, the file shows my father's details- same name, BUT different address and date of birth.

They also have a property valuation on the report for my address, even though I do not own the property and it is privately rented?! Why on earth is this on there? I've not seen this on Experian or Callcredit reports?

This company is seriously worse than any other!!
