Only just found this - am considering getting it - if you have received them - are they any good? Thanks

Just had a go at ordering - seems you are supposed to be a student - did anyone have an issue with this?
I am starting an evening course soon, so will be studying - but an email said something about verification - did anyone else run into difficulty?

No verification was asked about being a student. I've not used it yet I'm afraid to tell you how good it is.
  • i havent had anything asking for verification, but I never got a confirmation email! i just had the money taken out of my account a few days ago, but no sign of the printer yet. slightly worried, though with it being hewlett packard direct, should i be worried or should i just hold on for a few more days??

Sales, boots, charity shops, ebay- why would anyone ever pay full price for anything??!
  • Cartridge World are good for reliable cheap ink refills
  • I'm a bit concerned about this now- i havent had any emails from HP confirming my user name etc or my order. I went on holiday after ordering it, then came back and found that they had taken the money out of my account. this was on the 9th. I havent received the printer and i cant log in to the website as it says im not on file, even though they have managed to take money from my account!! i wouldve expected a better service from a company as big as HP, so i will be ringing them tomorrow to try to find out what is going on! Just thought i should point this out to any potential purchasers!

Regarding the issue of the ink in the printer being half quantity than shop ones.I purchased an Hp 2050 printer[uses hp301] with x3 cartridges included[1 extra free],and I found they lasted just as long if not longer than genuine replacement ones I bought later,so are people just saying this cos they heard it from someone else,or can someone give a factual statement to prove this .As I have already bought x2 of the above printers just for the cheaper price of ink.
  • just an update to my order- i rang and it took them a while to find me since i hadnt received an order confirmation, anyway once they found the order they said that it was due in stock with them by the end of the week and would be out to me the following week- making it 6 weeks after ordering and 4 weeks after taking payment! i cancelled the order as i was disappointed with the customer service and the length of time the order would take. however i guess if they are expecting stock in soon then any orders placed now may arrive quicker...
