Anyone watch the Mexican cookery show on channel 5?
http://www.channel5.com/shows/mexican-food-made-simple/recipes
I think its going to be a good series, I was surprised no one had started a thread on it.
Anyone got the book yet? I've been eyeing it up for a while:o
I bought the Hummingbird one from the book people at work for £8:money:
There are a couple of interesting new cookery programmes starting this week there is also The Good Cook on BBC 1 7.30pm.

I've recorded it but haven't seen it yet. Thomasina was great on Masterchef, didn't realise it was so long ago!
A few of her recipes were in the Times on Saturday, and I made an adapted version of her 'green rice salad' which was gorgeous, both then and as leftovers:)0 -

I recorded it, will watch it tomorrow. I love Mexican food so am looking forward to it. I have the book and it's great but she does use lots of ingredients that you probably need to buy online, like various types of chillis. I found it hard enough to get hold of black beans (the drawbacks of living in the sticks I guess).
Rick Stein's new show about Spain is starting next week I think, another one to watch definitely. I got the book free when I renewed a magazine subscription, haven't had much chance to look at it yet but it's lovely.0 -
MrsE, do you have more links of that?0

I watched it this morning. Quite interesting, although I think she only made about three recipes (guacamole, chilli and sorbet as far as I can remember). It's worth watching just to see the giant Mexican pork scratchings!0
