Any suggestions for using a mass of gold card

Had to clear my loft out to have insulation laid and came across a bag full of approximately 1000 pieces of gold card in two sizes: 9" by 1.5" and 9" by 1" gold on one side and plain white on the other. Apart from making several thousand gift tags can anyone think of a way I can reuse these. I did think of paper chains but they are just that bit too thick (postcard thickness).
Apologies if this is the wrong forum for such a question.
Thanks.

  • Take some of them to your local infants school they will find lots of uses for them. Our local school which has three of my grandsons there at the moment are always looking for spare 'craft bits' for the children.I save all my yogurt pots and butter tubs that I don't need as well as string, odd bottons, used loo roll or kitchen roll tubes, and almost anything that the little ones can use to be creative with. Schools have limited resources, and funds are often diverted.
My eldest daughter works in a special-needs school, and the children love to make things for their Mums at school when perhaps they have limited ability in the scholastic way.
