I'm looking to buy my mother a mincer for her Birthday (its in October, so a while away - but worth being organised)
Are there any paticular features that I should be looking for and whats the best place to look for a good value one? Budget is really around the £30 but very happy to go cheaper

Can I bump this thread to see if anyone has any experience of mincers, as I am looking to purchase one also. I am looking at making my own meat loaves, burgers etc - maybe even venture into sausages!!, but our local butcher will not mince bacon, chicken etc for customers, as they say it means all the machines have to be cleaned thoroughly as they are only used for mincing beef, - which I can understand if I am only looking for a pound of minced chicken or bacon.
Hope someone can helpEvery days a School day!0 -

I have a mincer attachment for my Kenwood chef, but to be honest, rarely use it as cleaning is such a faff.
My sister has one that was from Aldi or Lidl, at around the £30 mark and uses it every week. Seems to be a pretty tough model, the construction is mostly metal and it is quite heavy which is a good thing so it doesn't bounce around on the worktop.0
