Just came across a new deals/discount website similar to Groupon/Kgb etc, just for the North East area from the looks of it, but great if your visiting or live near.

Whats the food like? Is it near the city centre?

Francos is pretty good, I've been before on a couple of occasions. It is in Jesmond, not the city centre, but a 5min metro ride away. I've signed up for the site, might get some more good deals out of it, you never know!

The last time I went with my other half, the food was lovely. straight forward simple Italian and very reasonable, flavourful lol (good word).So the deal would easily cover 2 courses each.

There's also an outside terrace area, so if you hit the right day.....:cool:

Oh and getting there is easy, Jesmond is not far from the city centre (150m from West Jesmond metro stop for this place). pleanty of bars in the area to continue the evening
