Eek I have an interview!!

So i have an interview later today, 1st one for about 5 years! I'm so nervous I've barely slept, can't eat!!

I've prepared, I've read about the company, I've read their end of year report. I've got a couple of questions ready!

The problem is I'm not in anyway shape or form qualified for the job, maybe they aren't looking for the finished article.... But I can't help thinking that they've made a mistake and looked at the wring cv!!

Now my question..... Can I take a note book with my questions in to prompt me and can I write the answer down? Or do I have to memorise everything?

I'm so nervous I'm worried I will forget to aak questions. I know it's a competency based interview, and I've never had one so not sure what to expect!!

If someone could help it would be so good!!

Thanks
Pink

Writing your questions down isn't a bad thing - the act of writing them down at all will 'cement' them in your mind a bit more so you may not even need to refer to the book, but if you do, that should be fine.

I know it's hard, but try to relax a bit. Some adrenaline is useful in this sort of situation, but too much isn't. Remember to take your time - don't rush your answers, and a couple of seconds for thought before speaking probably won't even be noticed by the interviewer but will be really helpful for you to collect your thoughts.

They have obviously seen something in your application that they liked. To have got this far is good in itself, and you should be proud of that. It is highly unlikely that they have made a mistake, and thoughts like that are not helpful. Tell yourself that you have much to offer and that you'll show them that today - it will help your confidence. I know that there is a tendancy to focus on negatives, and again, it's hard, but try not to do that Focus on the positives.

Good luck and do let us know how it goes!
