Joint loan declined can I apply for single?

I applied for a joint loan with my partner both of us have good credit history or so I thought but then we were declined a joint loan.
I applied for a statutory credit report for both of us and my partner failed to remember about some missed payments she had and some money she owed on an account however my report came back perfectly fine with no issues, can I re-apply for the loan or another loan just as single application or will the joint app go against me it just shows as an app on my file

Don't do it tghis board is full of people borrowing for friends/partners with bad credit. The fact that they conveniently forgot about it shuld set the alarm bells ringing.
  • The joint loan was for me and my partner I want the loan its not for anyone else, just want to know if i might be able to get it!

Yep, if you're financially associated with your partner through an account or mortgage your rating will be dragged down by her "forgotten" issues.

The joint application will also have created an association (I think)

  • yes there is a financial assosiation, is there a way of removing this as we are seperating so the joint loan was not a good idea afterall,

If you have no open joint accounts (bank account, overdraft, loans etc) then you can file a notice of disassociation with each of the 3 credit reference agencies.
