HMRC changing my tax code to BR-why?

I changed jobs in March and have just received a PAYE coding notice for 2011/12 tax year.
It tells me that HMRC have advised my company to use tax code BR for thsi period-but I'm sure it should be the normal 747l code.
Theres no real explanation specifically detailing why they are doing this...
Can anyone shed any light on why my tax code should change?
Thanks as usual

They probably think you have 2 jobs.
If you only have one income phone up HMRC and ask.0
