Has anyone ever worked/had an interview for Barnardos?

Hi all,
I have an interview with Barnardos in an admin position at one of their Children's centre's. There is an exercise prior to the interview for which no pre preperation is required, does anyone have any idea what it would be? Also any information on what it is like to work for Barnardos etc would be great.
Thanks

I have an interview with them this afternoon but it's as a volunteer on a pilot scheme.
A friend of mine has been volunteering with them for over 9 years now and loves it so to have stayed with them that long they are obviously great to be a part of.
I can't see any reason why they wouldn't be good to work for being one of the largest children's charities.
Sorry I can't be any more help but good luckSaved: £1566.53/ £20000 -
Hi, I work as a children's centre manager overseeing two centres, though for another national charity, not Banardos.
The task is likely to be something where you're given a list of tasks that you face on turning up to work on day, and you're asked to list them in order or priority as to what you'd deal with first. There's not a set correct answer, but the panel will be looking for common sense - if you have clear rationale for why you'd choose something over another then great. Alternatively, it would be a typing task - like typing a letter, or perhaps if your role involves financial work e.g., being involved in the budget, then perhaps an activity linked to that.
Make sure you research Barnardos - what are their values and mission statement (& why does that appeal to you - i.e., why do you want to work there?) You'd be amazed at how many people fail to research the charity and it's very much frowned upon. What are their priority campaigns/areas of work this coming year?
Have you looked into children's centres? Do you know why they're set up - their aims, what age group they're aimed at etc? What do you know about the one you're specifically applying to work in? Again these are so often overlooked, even when people have spent time flicking through a newsletter whilst waiting to be interviewed.0
