Someone was wondering what they could expect from a Standard Life Endowment.
Not very much:eek:
19 year endowment £70 odd a month total paid in just over £16700 paid out £18800 odd.
Supposed to be £26,000.
A return of 1.2645%
At least I am now mortgage free:j using savings to make up the shortfall.

Does it qualify for a mortgage endowment promise?

The MEP payment could be higher than £1240 or lower than £1860, it could be nil.
In Feb the min payout that would be paid at maturity was less than £16,000 so I suppose there was a MEP payment.
I don't have any details, I only know what the payout is.
I must say though that I am most disapointed at the maturity amount.
19 years ago the advisor was talking about a maturity value of more than £35,000.
Because I live in Scotland and the endowment was dealt with by a solicitor at an estate agent I could not even pursue anyone for misselling.
On the bright side I have 2800 shares that I never paid for.0
